I don’t know what to talk about first – I attended my first Tatting class I on Friday (that’s lace making for those of you in the dark like I was before the class! lol). The lady teaching is fun and I look forward to making a couple doilies or VERY SMALL tablecloths. I can tell from the class that making anything is time consuming so I may be sticking to cup coasters! My sister tells me I’m getting older every time she sees me but I just tell her I’m learning lost arts of needlework… I’m thinking she’ll be the recipient of my first doily. 🙂
The other things on my mind today are…ugh…the AWFUL SuperBowl game last night. I’d be ok if Seattle won and the game was an actual game. But the way it went down was so very hard to watch and I’m sure it was harder for Denver to play. But regardless, I’m still a Broncos fan and I’m looking forward to next year! And then also, the tragic death of Philip Seymour Hoffman who was an excellent actor and I know he’ll be missed, not just by fans but my condolences go out to his friends and family.
Last but not least are the projects I’m working on! I’m doing a Valentine’s Day color scheme this month – here’s a super plush peach/pink blanket I made a few months ago. I love this yarn – it’s durable and so soft I love making they feel so good as I crochet! I’ve added it to the Shop-Blankets tab (finally) so if you’re interested here’s the link: https://idabellemichelle.com/shop/
I also just finished an awesome crimson scarf yesterday. It’s made out of Lion’s Chunky Wool Ease yarn – soft and warm – and I hope to have that pic up tomorrow. Have a good one and come back soon!
